On Wednesday, April 15th some of the Olde Ripton Garden Club Members attended the 97th Annual Meeting & Luncheon of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut at The  Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT.

The guest speaker was Ace Berry whose program was “Ace in Full Bloom.”  Ace loves flowers and loves to do amazing arrangements.  We watched as he took floral materials and turned them into interesting works of art.  After the luncheon his arrangements were raffled off and the lucky winners took home one of his marvelous floral arrangements.

Each table had a unique centerpiece, arrangements were made by a committee, with materials from member’s gardens.  Each member at their table placed a raffle ticket in an envelope and at the end of the luncheon the member whose number was drawn got to take home the centerpiece.
